Martha Vucsko, 52, Chagrin Falls Owner of La Look Skin Care & Makeup Boutique and FitBody4her, personal trainer Tell me about the store and the fitness aspect of it. I've had the store for 23 years. The first 19 were in Bainbridge, now we're in Chagrin Falls. We sell makeup, skincare and Susan K. Jewelry. She's a local artist who also works with me. I've also always been into fitness. I've been a personal trainer forever. Years ago, I taught aerobics classes and I taught at Elaine Powers. I went into the beauty industry because makeup has always been my first love. You can see what I offer in personal training on the La Look website. How do you keep up with what's happening in fashion? I don't really follow the trends but I do look at Vogue and InStyle magazines. I do follow the trends in makeup and skin care but I am one to find the things that no one else has. I've launched many different lines in the U.S that no one else sold yet. I have Verso, a skin care line from the U.K. I'm the importer for a line from Italy called Vagheggi and we have Rouge Bunny Rouge, a makeup line. I like to be on the cutting edge of something new. Not all trends in makeup are for everyone and I won't push the wrong items or makeup colors onto someone just because it's a trend. |
